Born and raised in Hawaii, I have been calling San Francisco home for the last 10 years. I began my career doing traditional print design and branding strategy for several retail companies around the Bay Area. Helping local companies like Tea Collection and Ruby Press build and reinforce their new identities.
In 2005, I decided to refocus my career and began specializing in web design and started contracting at NASA Ames Research Center. I gained considerable experience designing and implementing various open source solutions and web applications, including the NASA Ames’ official public blog. I have now fully accepted my unique skills as both a web designer and a front-end developer and now cleverly call myself a desveloper.
I hold a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of San Francisco and the wonderful California College of the Arts. Since early 2007, I’ve been working at Hot Studio consulting with clients such as Cisco, eBay, and Omidyar Network.

i liked the work you did for Findlaw,we are a small family company with a small budget
i do not know if you take work at this site, but let me tell you what is needed
we started a tweak to our current site, which has good organic traffic but rather poor
conversion
we retained the services of a usability consultant to complete wireframes (which should happen in 2 weeks)
in the interim we tweaked 7-8 pages to improve things until we were ready to lauch
the new site, the designer is no longer available to finish the job dev.jvra.com
bottom line is we need a designer (psds only) to tweak the tweaked pages
and then do the redesign
lastly we need help with SEO-preserving what we have and questions on a few elements-such as how to handle bread crumbs, reducing content in SERP
thanks-if this looks/sounds of interest please let me know, gary
maybe if you write more about this subject, i will understand it clearer.http://www.musicaparabaixar.net
